The first CPI symposium on “Cellular Heterogeneity in the Cardio-Pulmonary System”, organized by Area 1 leaders, took place on 3 December at the university hospital in Frankfurt am Main. It was a very exciting day with scientific talks, poster sessions of the CPI academy and networking. We thank all speakers and attendees for this wonderful kick-off symposium.
