Soni Pullamsetti, professor for lung vascular epigenetics and Cardio-Pulmonary Institute faculty member, has recently been elected as a member of the prestigious Leopoldina. The Leopoldina is Germany’s oldest natural science and medical scholars society and is a National Academy of Sciences. The membership is a significant achievement and honor.
The research focus of Soni Pullamsetti at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen and Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research is to unravel the epigenetic mechanisms and transcription factors that influence gene regulation in lung diseases.
