
To mark the renewed funding of the Cluster of Excellence, CPI members celebrated their success at the Max Planck Institute in Bau Nauheim. The two spokespersons Stefanie Dimmeler (University of Frankfurt) and Susanne Herold (University of Giessen), as well as Thomas Braun (MPI-HLR) and Werner Seeger (University of Giessen), together with more than 200 employees, are delighted and would like to express their special thanks.
The research consortium comprising the universities of Giessen and Frankfurt and the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research (MPI-HLR) in Bad Nauheim aims to break new ground in medicine. Under the guiding principle of “Precision Biology Drives Precision Medicine,” the CPI is investigating how the heart and lungs function, age, and become diseased—and how these diseases can be treated individually.
