Mariana Shumliakivska has been awarded the ISHR Poster Prize in the category "New Insights in Cardiac Dysfunction" at the XXV ISHR World Congress held in Nara, Japan.
In her project she investigates how somatic mutations in hematopoietic stem cells, leading to clonal expansion—a condition known as Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminate Potential (CHIP)—affect cardiac fibrosis.
