We are proud to celebrate the achievements of Priyasha De, a PhD researcher in the lab of Prof. Dr. Soni Pullamsetti (IMPRS/CPI), who recently returned from a successful trip to two major international conferences in San Francisco.
Priyasha’s work focuses on modeling pulmonary arterial hypertension using stem cell-derived vascular organoids to better understand disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic strategies. Her dedication was recognized with two prestigious awards:
Lucas Van Wormer Award: Best Research Trainee Abstract at the 19th International Conference on Neonatal & Childhood Pulmonary Vascular Disease (UCSF), and
Young Researcher Travel Assistance Grant: Awarded by the TBX4Life Conference 2026.
Beyond the academic recognition, these conferences offered a unique opportunity to connect directly with clinicians and families of patients. "Hearing their experiences makes the science feel real and serves as a powerful source of motivation," Priyasha reflected on her journey.
Congratulations to Priyasha and the entire Pullamsetti Lab team!
