SUMMARY:Next Level productivity using AI Assistants | Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Transforming Science in the Era of AI\nIn today's rapidly evolving research landscape\, artificial intelligence assistants offer\nunprecedented opportunities to enhance scientific quality\, streamline workflows\, and elevate research impact. This specialized webinar delivers practical\, hands-on training to integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into your research ecosystem. \nIn this course you´ll learn about: \nFoundations of AI for Scientific Research\n\nMastering AI Tools and Effective Prompting Techniques Mastering the fundamental skills of AI-assisted information retrieval can not only increase efficiency of research\, but also increase the quality of the output of knowledge workers. This module will introduce foundational tools and techniques to harness AI effectively for scientific inquiry. \n\nMastering AI Assistants\nLearn prompting frameworks to obtain high-quality on-target outputs\nDistinguish between production assistants (text\, ideas\, perspectives with ChatGPT and Claude) and information assistants (sourced information with Perplexity\, you.com\, deepresearch)\nDevelop questioning strategies that maximize AI capabilities for scientific applications\nIdentify helpful perspectives with the simulation of multiple synthetic experts\nApply critical evaluation methods for AI-generated content\nUnderstand limitations and ensure good scientific practice when implementing AI tools

SUMMARY:From Pixels to Patterns: Applying Machine Learning Tools for Advanced Image Analysis
DESCRIPTION:Detailed workinar content overview: \n\nInstallation of different Software with pre-workshop video guide\nHands-on Guided Exercises in Microscopic Image Analysis\nKey Concepts\, Benefits and Limitations of ML in Image Analysis\nTraining Pixel Classifiers for Precise Object Extraction\nApplying pre-trained Deep Learning (DL) Models to Images\nDeep Learning-Model improvement by human-in-the-loop re-training for Non-Experts\nSimple customized Model Training via user interface-based software for situations where pre-trained models fail.\nClassifying Objects Using Decision Trees for targeted Analysis\nIntegrating Fiji (an ImageJ bundle) as Hub for Multiple Software Tools\nConnecting different Tools via Fiji for Streamlined Workflows\n\n\n\nAll methods are learned hands-on with plenty of practical exercises to get confidence in applying them in your daily work. \nCategory: \nGSP / Data Analysis / Hard Skills \nVenue: \nThe workshop will be held as a virtual live event via Zoom. Login information and preparation instructions will be send in advance. \nDuration: \n2 days\, each day 9:00 ~ 15:30 (max\, mostly 15:00 but plan some buffer time) \nPrerequisite: \nPrior participation in the BioVoxxel Workshop – “Basic Microscopic Image Processing and Analysis” is MANDATORY o be able to follow the complete content of this workshop. Participation without prior basic course attendance can only be permitted in exceptional cases in agreement with the trainer and a sound prior knowledge of image processing techniques and ImageJ. \nMain Target Group: \n\nLife or Natural Scientists starting PhD- or PostDoc-level\nSome practical imaging and image analysis experience is an advantage.\n\nThe course focuses on the practical application of existing software on microscopic images! It is not meant for computer scientists\, since no computational or programmatic background will be discussed in-depth. \nDifficulty Level: \nThe difficulty level is advanced but even with little prior practical experience it should be possible to follow the step by step procedures and explanation of the necessary background to the individual methods. \nSoftware: \nDuring the course we will work with a customized version of Fiji (ImageJ bundle). In addition\, we will need to install additional software\, also Python based software via the command line. \nRegistered participants will receive all information regarding software preparation on time before the workshop via email.
